Some paintings start with a plan. This one started with a phone.
Scrolling through old car show photos one evening, a single image stopped me cold — a late-1940s Chevrolet truck at a local cruise night at Sonic, captured on the first Saturday of the season. It was a cool April night, and the setting sun was striking the paint just right, turning that old orange body into something electric. The chrome grill bars glowed. The round headlight caught the sky. I just had to paint it.
